This hybrid card is a combination of the following two RFID Technologies built into one card.
The NXP MIFARE Classic S50 with 1Kbytes EEPROM read/write memory is compatible with existing MIFARE infrastructure. It operates in accordance with ISO 14443A. The MIFARE S50 works with reading distances of up to 10cm with true anti-collision properties. The MIFARE Classic S50 is the pioneer and most commonly used contactless smart card ICs operating in the 13.56MHz frequency range.
The Infineon SLE5542 is an intelligent 256byte EEPROM Secure Memory IC with Write Protection function and Programmable Security Code. The SLE5542 is 100% functional compatible to SLE4442. It features a 32 x 1Bit Protection Memory and Byte-wise write protection of first 32 addresses (byte 0....31) of Data Memory. It is produced in advanced CMOS-technology optimised for security layout.
